Job Summary

Overseeing and optimizing the procurement and supply chain processes to ensure the smooth flow of materials, services, and resources necessary for successful project completion.



Strategic Duties

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational goals and project requirements. 
  • Set the department budget and expenses in coordination with Operations & PMO, Marketing & Sales, and Finance Department. 
  • Participate in formulating strategies, policies, and objectives for TAJ AL SAFA. 
  • Suggest the functional strategies for the department. 
  • Control the performance of the department, set Key Performance Indicators, and ensure that the set plans and programs achieve the set objectives. 



Technical Duties

  • Identify cost-effective sourcing strategies and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to maximize cost savings. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and shipping agencies, ensuring reliability, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services. 
  • Streamline and optimize supply chain processes to minimize delays and disruptions and enhance overall project efficiency. 
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, ensure continuity of supply, and reduce the impact of unforeseen events. 
  • Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts with suppliers, contractors, and service providers. 
  • Manage inventory levels efficiently and minimize excess stock while ensuring timely availability of materials. 
  • Manage the procurement budget effectively and ensure that expenditures align with project budgets and financial goals. 
  • Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and potential changes that may impact procurement decisions. 
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that materials and services meet specified standards and project requirements. 
  • Promote and oversee supplier diversity initiatives to ensure a diverse and inclusive supply chain. 
  • Proactively identify and manage contractual risks to protect the TAJ AL SAFA interests. 
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for procurement decisions to evaluate the financial impact on projects. 
  • Utilize strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers. 
  • Work closely with Operations & PMO, as well as Marketing & Sales departments, to forecast material requirements and plan for future demand. 
  • Regular evaluations of vendor and shipping agency performance are conducted to assess reliability and quality.




General Administrative Duties

  • Effectively communicate with employees. 
  • Follow the code of conduct for the TAJ AL SAFA company. 
  • Comply with and understand TAJ AL SAFA regulations and legislation. 
  • Enhance the teamwork environment within the department and other departments through effective communication skills. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.

Job Specifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent. Master’s degree is preferred. 
  • 8-10 years of experience in a related field. 
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, and supply chain optimization. 
  • Knowledge of the real estate development industry, including construction materials, suppliers, and project timelines. 
  • Strong knowledge in identifying and mitigating risks associated with procurement and supply chain activities.
