Job description

The Al-Kasih Group for Food Industries announces its desire to attract a distinguished technical professional to be part of its engineering and maintenance team, for the position of "Mechanical Technician". We are looking for an individual who possesses passion and practical experience while adhering to the highest standards of occupational safety to ensure the continuous operation of machinery and equipment with high efficiency, and to reduce production downtime.


General Objective of the Position:

To ensure the continuous operation of machinery and equipment with high operational efficiency, and to reduce unexpected downtime through the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs in the food industries sector.


Responsibilities and Job Tasks:

• Preventive Maintenance: Implementing scheduled routine inspections for machinery, diagnosing moving parts, and changing oils and filters regularly for production lines.

• Corrective Maintenance: Diagnosing unexpected mechanical failures, dismantling defective equipment, and repairing or replacing defective parts efficiently and in the least possible time.

• Reading Schematics: Understanding and analyzing technical catalogs, engineering drawings, and mechanical schematics to determine parts and maintenance pathways accurately.

• Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Maintenance and repair of pumps, valves, cylinders, and air or oil systems in production lines.

• Spare Parts Management: Identifying requirements accurately for spare parts and technical tools, and notifying the supervisor to secure them from warehouses.

• Technical Documentation: Writing daily maintenance reports, recording recurring failures, and documenting working hours performed accurately.

• Occupational Safety: Strict adherence to health and safety standards (OSHA), and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) during work.

  • Thorough knowledge of types of pumps and their components and handling.


Skills

Educational Qualification: Diploma in Engineering or a technical institute certificate in (Mechanical Engineering, Equipment Maintenance, or equivalent).

• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in an industrial facility or factories (experience in the food industry is preferred).

• Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of using precision measuring tools, hand tools, and specialized electrical maintenance tools.

• Personal Attributes: Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities under pressure, physical fitness, and the ability to work in industrial environments, along with good communication skills for collaboration with the electrical maintenance team.
