Job Summary:
Arab Potash Company is looking for a dedicated,results-oriented Maintenance Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation maintenance functions at the Aqaba Site. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring optimal equipment availability, maintaining high safety standards, controlling maintenance costs, and driving continuous improvement in alignment with the objectives of the Aqaba Site Directorate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead regular meetings with team members to monitor progress, ensure smooth workflow, and promote alignment with best maintenance practices.
- Prepare periodic reports on the Maintenance Department’s activities, achievements, and key performance indicators for submission to the Site Director.
- Identify workforce requirements for the Aqaba Site Maintenance Department in line with approved human resources planning practices.
- Recommend training needs for team members and evaluate training outcomes in coordination with the Personnel Affairs Division.
- Conduct performance appraisals according to approved schedules and recommend appropriate actions in accordance with adopted procedures.
- Follow up on team members’ administrative matters, including vacations, leaves, and other related requirements.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Superintendents on planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities at the Aqaba Site.
- Ensure effective implementation of preventive maintenance programs, evaluate maintenance outcomes, and improve work methods through structured feedback and best practices.
- Lead, promote, and enforce safety programs across maintenance sections, including safety meetings, weekly tours, review of safety records, and follow-up on corrective actions from Taproot investigations.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, regulations, ISO procedures, and quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Monitor the Maintenance Department’s annual budget in coordination with the Site Director by reviewing maintenance plans, estimating operational and capital resource requirements, and controlling costs.
- Ensure effective and efficient operation of all equipment and machinery by planning and scheduling maintenance activities in coordination with area superintendents.
- Ensure maintenance work is performed in accordance with safe engineering standards, sound technical practices, and approved standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the smooth maintenance of shared loading lines by communicating with surrounding external companies and coordinating related activities.
- Achieve departmental maintenance objectives and maintain accurate performance records.
