JOB TITLE

Commercial Associate Manager | MAF Retail | Head Office Jordan 

The Associate Manager - Commercial is responsible for supporting sourcing, merchandising, assortment planning, and sales development activities across assigned categories. The role focuses on demand forecasting, supplier management, inventory optimization, promotional planning, and commercial performance enhancement while ensuring product availability, profitability, and execution excellence across stores.

• Experience managing or supporting commercial, category management, buying, or merchandising activities within a retail or FMCG environment.
• Proven ability to drive category sales, margin growth, and commercial performance.
• Strong understanding of assortment planning, category reviews, promotional activities, and pricing strategies.
• Experience in supplier management, negotiations, and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with merchandising standards, product placement, and in-store execution.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Replenishment, Logistics, and Marketing teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
• Ability to identify market trends, customer insights, and commercial opportunities to improve category performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Commercial, Category Management, Buying, Merchandising, Retail, or FMCG environments.
• Strong understanding of commercial operations, pricing, promotions, forecasting, and category performance management.
• Experience in sales forecasting, inventory management, demand planning, and stock optimization.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, stock, profitability, and market data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.
