A huge leading industrial company based in the south of Jordan is seeking to recruit Senior Mechanical Procurement officer.

Responsibilities:

• Develop procurement strategies for mechanical equipment.


• Evaluate and select vendors/Suppliers, ensuring reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.


• Lead contract negotiations to secure optimal terms and performance guarantees.


• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.


• Stay updated on market trends to identify innovative solutions and cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.


• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all procurement processes.


• Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular updates to senior management.


• Implement performance monitoring and supplier evaluation metrics to drive improvements.


• Identify potential supply chain bottlenecks and develop contingency plans and mitigation measures.

Skills

• Mechanical Engineering Qualification is required (higher degree is plus).


• Experience in industrial projects procurement for minimum 5 years and total of 10 years.


• Professional in using Codes, Standards (certificates in plus).


• Excellent in English language (reading, writing and speaking).


• The successful candidate must be a non-smoker.                   

The type of contract will be a service agreement.
