Job Title: Data Entry- Referral FSR # 550
Location: Amman and travels to other locations when needed

 

Job Summary

A Data Entry-Referral is responsible for inputting data making changes to existing data figures in digital databases, and validating all referral cases, their duties include inputting data from paper documents into the online system, archiving all soft copies to hard copies and uploading them on CCR, and validating all referral and preparing the cases to be ready to audit.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Checking all referrals on CCR (medical software) and validating the medical referral requests from private hospitals to ensure they meet the criteria for referral set by the project.
  • Verify the medical and financial aspects of referral requests to ensure that they are accurate and complete.
  • Identify and rectify any errors or discrepancies in the referral data, specifically Admission, Discharge dates and cost.
  • Communicate with medical service providers to collect the required documents and to discharge the case.
  • Field visits to affiliated hospitals when requested by supervisor.
  • Review and close referrals on time once requested from the responsible medical staff and concerned staff.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed for each closed referral and that the closure is documented accurately.
  • Follow-up on case flow on CCR and informing the responsible employee to take the proper action.
  • Ensure that all referrals of judicial cases are documented accurately and comply with legal requirements.
  • Transfer data from a hard copy to a digital database.
  • Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records.
  • Search for and investigate information contained in files.
  • Perform regular database backups to secure data.
  • Input text-based and numerical information from source documents.
  • Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma degree in any medical field.
  • 1-year experience as referral assistant, data entry clerk, focal point, IT role, or relevant field.
  • Previous NGO experience is preferred.
  • Fast typing skills: Knowledge of touch-typing systems is strongly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Good command of English both oral and written.
  • Great attention to detail.
