Project Summary:

The purpose of “Public Accountability and Justice Strengthening” (PAJ) activity is to support Jordanian efforts to enhance accountability systems, procedures, and mechanisms within the government of Jordan and judicial institutions and enhance their ability to serve and communicate effectively with the public. It also fosters awareness and pressure by civil society organizations, the public, and the private sector on the government’s adherence to the law and its international commitments to govern in an accountable manner that safeguards the rights of vulnerable populations. Increasing the Accountability and Effectiveness of Public Institutions in Jordan | MSI (msiworldwide.com). The aim of the Fast Track Leadership Program is to attract young talents and leaders in the public sector who possess leadership qualities, to train and refine their skills, and to early discover potential governmental talents to form the initial core of participants in the Young Leaders Program (Fast Track).

Position Summary:

The Youth Leadership Trainers will be responsible for building the capacity of potential youth leaders to enable them to actively engage in participating Fast Track Leadership Program within the public sector. The Trainers will provide specialized training in key technical areas, including strategic planning and future foresight, policy formulation and impact assessment, organizational culture, public service ethics and governance principles, innovative leadership, change management and organizational development, digital transformation and project design. The training will take place at the Institute of public administration (IPA) Jordan. This is a time-bound project, and the maximum level of effort required is up to 60 days for all Trainers combined between May and mid-August.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with relevant representatives from PAJ and the IPA to review and align the existing materials with the modernization roadmap implications, leadership competencies framework and fast track framework where applicable, based on best practices.
  • Execute and deliver training programs or workshop for selected participants that covers all the required technical areas in the specific assigned topic as per the design the program.
  • Conduct pre- and post-evaluations to measure the knowledge and skills gained by participants accurately and provide PAJ with the results of the assessments.
  • Prepare a detailed training workshop report that includes a list of participants, any remarks, and lessons learned from the training.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering management, law, business, or public administration required.
  • Trainer certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Consultant and Trainer in the specified technical areas with Government of Jordan and/or international donor agencies required.
  • Minimum of 120 training hours required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all related stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic required.
