Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Role:

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Amman Baccalaureate School, you will play a pivotal role in leading all technology initiatives within the school. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the technological landscape of our institution, driving strategic direction, ensuring robust systems, enhancing cyber security measures, and overseeing the provision of IT services across the school. The CTO will spearhead IT project transformations, providing crucial data and insights to key stakeholders, and fostering innovation in educational technology.

Responsibilities:

1.Lead a high-performing team of technology, data, information, and service specialists.

2.Develop and execute an effective technology and data strategy aligned with the school's objectives.

3.Drive innovation by developing sector-leading technologies to enhance educational delivery and operational efficiency.

4.Provide expertise and support to enable data-driven decision-making processes throughout the organization.

5.Collaborate with the Director of Educational Support and Systems to establish and maintain technology foundations, including infrastructure, support, and service delivery.

6.Ensure the formation and delivery of an efficient technology and data strategy that aligns with the school's mission and vision.

7.Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of e-learning platforms, and ensure the integration of digital resources to support remote learning initiatives.

8.Ensure the school's compliance with data protection and privacy regulations and establish protocols for secure handling of student and staff data.

9.Develop and maintain technology-related contingency plans for potential disruptions.

Qualifications:

1.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

2.Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the technology sector, preferably in an educational setting.

3.Strong understanding of IT systems, cyber security, and data management principles.

4.Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving innovation and excellence.

5.Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

6.Passion for technology and its potential to transform education.

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO)-(TBC depending on planning for 2024-25 academic year)
