Job Brief:

Responsible for preparing Core Network solutions design, making the needed analysis, and leading the technical responsibilities in the projects. Also, responsible for managing marketing requirements and expectations from Core Network perspective, in addition to executing capacity planning activities and managing Core Network products life cycle and identify innovation solutions and products for Core Network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Core Network Components Vendors to create specific Services and Application Roadmap.
• Handle proof of concept testing and network design solutions.
• Grasp Core Network PS design, functionality and operation.
• Create capacity planning standards and guidelines for network’s continued expansion.
• Support network development, system acceptance test criteria and performance applications.
• Handle onsite survey, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance with cooperation with Core Network Operation Team.
• Plan, design, and dimension (hardware and software) the elements of the Core Networks PS elements.
• Design and dimension the intra-connectivity and inter-connectivity with other networks and/or high-level elements of the network (e.g. MSS, MGW, MME, SGSN, S/P-GW, GGSN, MGCF, BSC, RNC, …etc).
• Order hardware, features, functionalities and software releases for the Core Networks PS elements.
• Prepare customer solutions in the Core Networks PS elements.
• Study new technologies and proposes improvements in the Core Networks.
• Drive evolutions of systems in scope based on NFV model toward cloud native solutions matching Umniah strategy.
• Manage evolution of deployed products, benchmark them, and select new Vendors and products in the relevant area as per Umniah needs.
