Job Title: Pharmacist FSR # 543

Location: Zaatari Camp

Job Summary

As a part of the health care provider team, the Pharmacist will be responsible to support the pharmaceutical services at the facility by stocking, assembling, and dispensing prescription in accordance with IMC SOP, in order to ensure its efficiency and operating availability.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

1. Pharmaceutical Services:

  • Dispensing prescriptions by using PIMS & according to IMC policies and procedure
  • Providing a professional patient counseling during every dispensing process  
  • Contributes to the quality and effective daily operation of the Pharmacy 
  • Coordinate with the other pharmacist in developing & reflecting the positive image of IMC
  • Apply all policies & procedures of the IMC pharmaceutical

2. Stock management:

  • Ensuring optimum storage conditions for the medical stock in accordance with IMC guidelines & SOP. This includes implementing or continuing quality controls and records to comply with good storage conditions in the facility (Temperature, Humidity and Light exposure). The Pharmacist will ensure compliance with the protocols and SOPs as well as raise alerts in case of any conflict with national regulations for stock management.  
  • Coordinating the delivery, reception and recording of pharmacy orders, in close coordination with the pharmacy capital level, updating stock files and informing Pharmacy Supervisor/Pharmacy Manager on their status (shortfalls, overstocking, expiry dates), in order to permanently ensure security stock levels and ensure efficient management of stock.
  • Ensuring spot checks, weekly partial inventories and monthly full inventory in accordance with the IMC guidelines and updating the inventory record into Pharmacy Information Management System (PIMS). 
  • Recording all items received and issued in computer by using PIMS and reporting on drug consumptions and medical equipment dispensed according to protocols, informing on unusual patterns as well as forecasting future needs, in order to rationalize the budget and to ensure availability.
  • Keeping records of GIOs, Waybills, GRNs documents for all medical supplies related processes in Pharmacy.
  • Anticipating any potential shortages of drugs and medications, informing the Pharmacy Supervisor, and alerting the Pharmacy manager to meet the needs. 
  • Keep the neatness of shelves & arrange stock by category and in alphabetical order, with the earliest expiring stock at the front of the shelf and the first in first out techniques “FEFO”

3. Rational Drug Use: 

  • Supporting the line managers in conducting prescription audit when needed. 
  • Following the trend of consumptions in the facility and alerting the Clinic Manager/Pharmacy Supervisor in case of any deviations from the normal trend. 
  • Monthly reporting on special medications including Antibiotics. 
  • Ensure the implementation of Jordan MOH & IMC clinical policies, tools, guidelines

 Perform other duties, as needed or requested by the Pharmacy Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • B.Sc. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of pharmacy degree from Jordanian university. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • 2+ years of relevant and progressive experience in community pharmacies.
  • MOH practice license & JPA membership
  • Willing to give his/her license for pharmacy registration, if needed.
  • Past experience with INGO is preferable.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • The ability to work under pressure and with limited resources 
  • Flexibility, Proven team player with ability to cultivate and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other organizations.
