Job Description
Responsible for assisting the Curator, Assistant Curator and Exhibits Supervisor in the acquisition, quarantine and daily care of a living collection of aquatic and terrestrial organisms at The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, and the conduct of internal and external research and monitoring activities. Principal Accountabilities •The Lead Aquarist must be able to undertake the duties of the Exhibits Supervisors in his/her absence. •Assists the Curator, Assistant Curator, and Exhibits Supervisor in maintaining the highest level of quality throughout the facility. •Ensures that the maintenance and appearance of all exhibits and animal areas is undertaken as per standards operations guidelines and that data is appropriately managed and stored. •
Skills
•A degree in Biology, preferably Marine Biology or Oceanography •Open water SCUBA certification from a recognized training agency •Computer skills an advantage
