King Hussein Cancer Center is seeking to hire the following vacancy:

 

                                                           Medical Warehouse Supervisor

Job Requirements

 

  •  Responsible for the planning, direction and execution of warehousing services while serving as warehousing advisor to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations including: receiving, issuing items, and managing the warehouse equipment and employees in a timely manner which complies with safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental KPI’s.
  • Monitor the expiration dates and changes of consumption rates of material, to avoid losses due to expiration or items becoming slow-moving.
  • Work with the Supply Chain Manager to develop and manage strategic warehousing and inventory control plans across KHCC to drive quality service and achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Enforcing and maintaining the department’s policies and procedures operating independently within the framework of delegated authorities.
  • Coordinating with user departments on the storage and delivery of medical supplies and equipment on scheduled basis.
  • Maintaining proper inventory levels in all medical store rooms.
  • Determining and implementing standards of operation for warehousing, distribution, receiving and inventory control.
  • Coordinating and facilitating the liaison between the Medical Warehouse section and other departments including information sharing and joint problem solving in regards to inventory issues.
  • Coordinating with Auditors to allow them to audit supply chain records for compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Supervising the organization of the warehouse to ensure tidiness and accuracy to quickly find items and appropriate locations for storing items (e.g. meeting required temperatures).
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and departmental records.
  • Working with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of supplies to meet patient care demands.
  • Establishing and maintaining quality control standards in the department ensuring their compliance with all safety and infection control standards.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of supply/equipment products as needed.
  • Analyzing the performance of the medical warehouse. Preparing periodic reports with respect to the function's activities and achievements to the direct supervisor.
  • Participating in the recruitment, selection, evaluation, and supervision of approved staff for the department ensuring on-going training and coaching of new and existing staff.
  • Delegating some responsibilities to appropriate and qualified personnel in order to benefit from smooth running of the department’s operation.
  • Performing any related task as requested by the direct supervisor.

 

Education and Professional Experience (essential minimum requirement):

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, or any relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent command of English
