Procurement & Supply Chain Officer

Ensure effective uniformity of Supply Chain structure and implementation of JRF’s standard operating policies and procedures. To provide assistance and support in the operations of procurement, stock management, and logistics activities to support JRF.

Responsibilities:


Procurement:

  • Provides support and assistance in the procurement process of all new requests for supplies for JRF with focus on FMCG and F&B items.
  • Manages a database of current and potential F&B suppliers in local markets.
  • Acts as a focal point with local vendors regarding orders, new products, market conditions, and trends.
  • Assist in Preparing Requests for Proposals and procurement contracts.
  •  Follows up with local and international suppliers on delivery times.
  • Updates relevant colleagues about the status of their request and delivery, and maintains regular contact with supervisor on matters of procurement.
  • Ensures that procurement is carried out in accordance with JRF and donor-specific policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with the Finance Department to make sure payments are delivered to the suppliers.
  • Develop a PO & invoices tracker to make sure that deliveries are made on time and to track invoices for proper closing. 

Stock Management:

  • Ensures the implementation of Order Fulfillment Procedures for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Supports the Procurement and Logistics Supervisor in maintaining adequate inventory levels.
  • Ensures the best utilization of storage areas in coordination with the Store Keeper.
  • Carries out regular inspections of all warehouses and stores and conduct inventory counts to ensure technical instructions are complied with.
  •  Updates Customer Relationship Management database.


Logistics:

  • Ensures proper packing and timely dispatch of supplies to requested destinations.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
  •  Address any issues related to transportation or delivery delays.



Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or any related field.
  • Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
  • 3-5 years of experience. 
  •  Experience working in procurement, inventory management, and dispatching.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
