Through a collaboration with GOPA Middle East, the SRTF seeks to hire motivated, self-driven individuals to fulfill the role of accountant based in Jordan.

The Syria Recovery Trust Fund (SRTF) was established for the financing of reconstruction activities to rebuild the ountry and alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people as a result of the ongoing conflict. The SRTF was created to provide the international community with a vehicle to offer financial support to the National Coalition for responding to the needs of the Syrian people.

The Management Unit (MU) was established to manage the Fund and its allocations to projects addressing reconstruction, recovery, and stabilization to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.

The Governing Bodies of the SRTF are:

• The Steering Board (SB), with frequent meetings two times a year.

• The Management Committee (MC), meets every three months.

• The Director General of SRTF (DG).

Background:

1.  Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Driver include but are not limited to the following:

  • to do all transportation requirements by the SRTF management
  • to pro-actively raise any concerns with the condition and roadworthiness of the vehicle and inform his Supervisor of any problems
  • to ensure that the schedule of daily and periodic car maintenance is adhered to, such as timely changes of oil, checking tires, brakes, lights, cooling and air conditioning systems, etc.
  • to keep the car clean inside and outside
  • to do any other duties that his Supervisor or the Management may assign

2.  Competencies

  Personal characteristics (generally describe the ideal candidate)

  • Formal driving qualifications and licensing
  • Track record and credentials for reliable and safe driving
  • Excellent familiarity with country’s driving rules and regulations
  • Capacity to work under pressure, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Willingness to work beyond normal office hours
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Specific experience driving for private sector organizations
  • Skills in minor vehicle repairs and maintenance
  • Reliable in keeping accurate daily vehicle log report on use and maintenance
  • Ensures the availability and validity of the required documents such as insurance, registration, and log book in the vehicle
  • Good physical condition with clean health medical report and eyesight.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Having Jordanian nationality
  • Having a valid driver's license
  • At least five years of professional experience
  • Having good knowledge of all traffic laws and rules of the country
  • Knowledge of the locations of ministries, government departments, and embassies
  • Knowledge of using Google Maps
  • Ability and readiness to work outside working hours if requested by the management
  • Showing commitment to the organization's rules, and law-abiding to the traffic rules and transport laws
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability and readiness to work and live in Amman
  • Fluent written and spoken Arabic, and spoken English essential
