About Us:

Action Against Hunger(ACF) is a leading humanitarian agency working to combat hunger, malnutrition and its determinants in over 45 countries worldwide. 10 years into the Syrian crisis, Jordan remains host to 1.36 million Syrian refugees (83% of whom live among host communities), in addition to over 90,000 refugees largely from Iraq, Yemen, Somalia and Sudan.

Working in Jordan since 2013, Action Against Hunger has focused its response on WASH, Food Security and Livelihoods, and MHPSS programming for refugees and vulnerable Jordanians, both in camps and host communities. Action Against Hunger's 2020-25 country strategy aims to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable people to socio-economic and environmental challenges in Jordan with an emphasis on rural and peri-urban women and youth. As of 2022, Action Against Hunger has operations across Amman, Irbid, Mafraq, Zarqa and Madaba with over 70 staff.

Data Collector/Enumerator Roster:

Action Against Hunger is looking to build a roster of qualified data collectors/enumerators interested in working on short assignments when the need arises. Deployments will typically last for 7-15 days, with assignments available across ACF's project locations in Irbid, Mafraq, Azraq, Zarqa and Madaba.

Selection Process:

  • Profiles will be reviewed on a rolling bases based on need
  • Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted
  • A verification process will follow, successful candidates will be accepted as a roster members and available for deployments

Deployment Process

  • Accepted roster members will be contacted through email when assignments arise. This will include an overview of the opportunity available including start-time, length of assignment and the TOR
  • Suitable candidates will then be shortlisted, with prioritization of location
  • The expected work of the roster member will not exceed 10 days over a two month period

Skills

Profile we are looking for:

  • Experience working in the field and knowledge of local cultures and barriers (Syrian/Jordanian)
  • Experience in volunteering
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Data collection knowledge
  • Previous MEAL experience an added advantage
  • Able to maintain high sense of confidentiality
  • Commit and comply with the organization gender, age and diversity principles & policies (working with people, communication)
  • Promote gender age and diversity principles through their daily activities
