Role Description:
To establish, support and monitor the quality requirements within the manufacturing process in accordance with the customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities to establish, evaluate and improve the quality of the manufacturing process.
- Establish and maintain production inspection process.
- Non-Conformance evaluation and disposition support
- Configuration management of the Program Quality plan
- Management of Customer requirements
- Rework/Repair evaluation
- Root Cause/Corrective Action
- Support and lead Continuous Improvement Projects
- Process Improvements, Defect Reductions, Material Optimization, etc.
- Product, Process, Facility, Equipment, etc.
- Support and lead the development and implementation of training plans supporting the inspection process.
- Support and lead quality related communication with the Customers & Suppliers
- Identification and resolution of Quality actions
- Review production processes, engineering specifications and related information to improve/update current knowledge and implementations of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities in assigned process(es)/program(s).
- Perform other tasks as required.
Requirements and Skills:
- Degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing environment
- Require knowledge and experience with Industry Quality Management Systems, such as: ISO 9001
- Excellent Communication (written and oral) and Teamwork skills
- Focus on Technical writing
- Ability to lead and be part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Project Management skills an asset.
- Scheduling/planning, budget and resource management, work breakdown and estimation, progress reporting, lessons learned.
- Root Cause and Corrective Action skills an asset
- 5 Why, Pareto Charts, Fishbone Diagram, etc.
- Knowledge/Training with various manufacturing and quality philosophies (LEAN, 6-sigma, JIT, 5S, etc.) an asset
