The Protection of Family Links Officer 3, The Protection of Family Links (PFL) TEAM LEADER assists in designing, carrying out, monitoring, and evaluating ICRC PFL activities.
The PFL Officer 3 is part of a larger team to support missing individuals and their families, in accordance with set strategies and objectives at the regional level. He/she reports to the Protection Coordinator (red line) and to the SYS team in BEY (blue line).
S/he contributes to establishing and maintaining a trust-base relationship with the families of the Syria Missing, and at the same time contributes to support of the ICRC teams in Syria.
We are looking for a candidate with:
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- University degree or relevant professional experience in law, social sciences, communication, or related field, preferably with a digital background.
- Excellent command (spoken and written) of English and Arabic. Turkish / Kurdish / French an asset.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint.
- Data visualization, management of databases and proficiency in data analysis.1570
Minimum required Knowledge and experience
- 6-9 year of professional experience,
- 3-4 years of previous experience as a social worker or similar,
- Team management experience (4-5 years) required.
- 2-3 years ICRC experience in the field of PFL or similar experience with another client-focused organization.
- Proven experience in leading and managing protection activities or projects.
- Confirmed experience in RFL/tracing, with a good knowledge of working modalities of National Societies is a strong asset.
- Public speaking skills and ability to communicate effectively.
