Our expertise covers all aspects of data collection, including quantitative and qualitative research design, sampling, questionnaire and interview guide formulation, scripting on data collection platforms, recruitment and training of staff, management of fieldwork staff, data processing, and data analysis and reporting.

We often serve as a go-to in-country partner, providing a range of solutions, including administrative functions like implementing large-scale interventions and activities and organizing complex events.
  • Geographic Presence. Mindset is incorporated in Jordan, the UAE, Yemen, Nigeria, and Ukraine. We also operate through field staff and affiliate offices in Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia. We are able to mobilize in almost any setting or context if given the appropriate set-up time, even if we have not operated previously. This is due to our agile approach to setting up operations and vast international network of consultants and partners.

​The position:

The Business Development & Partnerships Officer reports directly to the Managing Director and performs a variety of tasks to lead and support Mindset’s mid- and long-term growth strategies. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an appetite for growth and self-learning and a collaborative spirit to share Mindset’s vision for impact with clients. The Business Development & Partnerships Officer will serve in capture and live proposal line roles and will be partially or fully responsible for the development, design, and implementation of business development activities, social media presence, and proposal writing.

Responsabilities:

Knowledge Management:

  • Tracks opportunities on a daily basis and presents them to the Managing Director during weekly meetings.
  • Maintains Mindset’s business development database and makes sure that it is consistently and accurately updated: Tracked opportunities, proposal submissions, partnerships and consultants roster, etc.
  • Responsible for overseeing Proposal Knowledge Management processes, including but not limited to storing all final submissions and proposal documents in the internal shared Dropbox.
  • Liaises with the Project Management Unit to stay updated on Mindset’s assignments and maintain the past performance tracker. 

Proposal Development:

  • Responsible for managing the full-cycle proposal process to ensure the submission of high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals while ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Leads/ collaborates on the proposal kick-off process, including designing the proposal calendar and aligning internal resources: Takes the lead on assigning roles on internal proposal efforts.
  • Serves as the primary POC during capture and live proposal stages, facilitating teaming, staffing, technical, and pricing strategy discussions, communicating compliance requirements, and sharing updates and amendments with the proposal team.
  • Conducts desk research and analysis to support capture and live proposal development.
  • Participates in the development of technical and cost proposals – during the capture and live proposal stages – in full alignment with clients’ requirements: Reviews technical and cost volumes, including annexes; assists with section writing, copy-editing, formatting, relevant past experience and CVs preparation.
  • Supports the recruitment of subject matter experts (external consultants) matching client requirements.
  • Oversees proposal development consultants to include but not limited to; developing proposal consultant SOWs, overseeing the quality and timeliness of deliverables, and invoice approvals.
  • Responsible for maintaining proactive involvement within the international development industry and proposal management profession to stay abreast of the latest developments, innovations, and best practices.

Partnerships Management:

  • Identifies potential joint business opportunities and takes the lead on the outreach and communication with partners.
  • Maps and reaches out to local and international new potential partners to expand Mindset’s partnerships roster. 

External Communication:

  • Supports communication efforts that are related to Mindset’s business development efforts such as webinar, press releases, seminars, social media presence, etc. 
  • Manages social media and website content writing and Mindset’s online presence as per Mindset’s communication plan.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience. Or a graduate degree and 2 years of professional experience.
  • Experience working in the international development sector is required
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing international donors’ solicitation documents for compliance requirements.
  • Experience in technical proposal writing and management of live proposals.
  • Highly organized and has a keen eye for detail.
  • A can-do attitude with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with different personality types.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with comfort in presenting to key partners.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
  • Professional, punctual, dependable, and reliable, with a desire to learn.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory. Additional proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred.
