THE OPPORTUNITY 

Job holder shall perform all accounting transactions, financial reporting and periodic closing activities in the company in a timely  manner in accordance with Group policies and guidelines and in respect to local accounting regulations while maintaining accounting  principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. 


Main Responsibilities: 

Accounting: 

▪ Monitor the company’s accounting closing and pre-closing process: define the calendar, communicate closing planning to all  the company’s departments and supervise the implementation, to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end  close 

▪ Review & verify the monthly trial balance to ensure accurate financial transactions using the local ERP.

▪ Review the output of all sub-modules (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets …etc) to ensure that all sub modules are reviewed and aligned with the General Ledger in an accurate and timely manner. 

▪ Verify the correctness of charts of accounts to ensure the correct mapping between Group and local charts as well as proper  accounting allocation according to Group requirements. 

▪ Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information according to Group requirements (SAP Group reporting  portal). 

▪ Support Control Department as required (budgeting & forecasting activities).  

▪ Interact with & support company departments in completing processes as required. 

▪ Prepare consolidated financial statements and follow up issuing company financial statements within deadlines and interact  with the external auditors to ensure compliance of statutory accounts with local regulation. 

▪ Prepare financial analysis and discrepancies for company accounts and present results to management

▪ Participate in the preparation of the General Assembly meeting as well as prepare and review the Annual report.

▪ Monitor and analyses work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.  


Tax Management: 

▪ Prepare the tax returns (VAT & Income Tax) files to ensure the timely and proper calculation, payment and reporting of taxes as well as compliance with governmental laws and regulations. 

▪ Follow up with Tax authorities all matters related to company tax issues and ensure the proper fulfilment of Tax Audit  requirements. 

▪ Prepare the Group Tax reporting requirements according to deadlines. 


Internal Control: 

▪ Fulfil internal control requirements and Minimum Control Standards (MCS) requirements.

Skills

Required Qualifications & Skills: 


Qualifications 

▪ Bachelor degree in Accounting. 

▪ Professional certification in Finance/Accounting is a plus. 

▪ Minimum (5 years) of experience in accounting. 


Skills 

▪ Advance Business/Economics understanding 

▪ Strong mathematical and analytical skills 

▪ Advanced knowledge in IFRS with ability to implement 

▪ Strong understanding of local tax regulations 

▪ Knowledge in internal control and reporting 

▪ Knowledge in legal, treasury, cash reporting 

▪ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and ERP Systems 

▪ Advanced English language skills 

▪ Self motivated and dynamic 

▪ Excellent oral and written communication skills
