Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Floor Salesperson to join our team, specializing in electromechanical equipment for swimming pools. This role combines direct customer sales with operational responsibilities, including quotation preparation, order checking, and system management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of day-to-day floor operations without direct managerial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively engage walk-in clients, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate electromechanical solutions.
• Prepare detailed and accurate sales quotations based on customer requirements.
• Enter and manage customer orders in the system, ensuring all data is correct and up to date.
• Verify incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy against system entries and customer quotations.
• Take full responsibility for inventory records, sales entries, and system updates.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of swimming pool equipment (pumps, filtration systems, lighting, etc.) and stay informed on product updates.
• Manage floor operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and professional environment.
• Provide technical advice to clients where necessary, liaising with the technical team when more advanced support is needed.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell related products and services.
• Handle customer queries and minor complaints professionally and escalate where necessary.
• Support basic stock control activities, including cycle counts and inventory adjustments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sales, preferably in a technical or electromechanical field.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when handling quotations and system entries.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable using inventory and sales management systems (training will be provided if necessary).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Technical aptitude to understand and explain product specifications.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the swimming pool industry or with electromechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with the Falcon system or similar systems
• Knowledge of Microsoft systems like Word and Excel
• A basic understanding of mechanical and electrical product specifications is an asset.
