JOB TITLE: Trainer – Community Leadership and Awareness Training Package (2 training Courses)
TEAM/PROGRAMME: JCLA – Protection
LOCATION: Zarqa/ Balqa
CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level (3) – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to youth or young people in different stages.
ROLE PURPOSE: As part of the project activities aiming to strengthen community engagement and promote positive change, a comprehensive training package will be delivered to selected participants from the community. The training aims to build their capacities to become active community leaders able to design and implement community initiatives addressing local needs.
OBJECTIVE: The main objective of this assignment is to deliver an integrated training package to participants covering the following topics:
- Community mobilization and advocacy.
- Designing and implementing community initiatives.
- Basic psychosocial support (PSS).
- Safe referral mechanisms.
- Awareness of the risks of drug abuse.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Developing and finalizing the training agenda and materials in coordination with the project team.
- Delivering the training sessions to the targeted group (number of training days to be determined).
- Ensuring interactive and participatory methodologies.
- Providing pre- and post-assessment tools to measure knowledge improvement.
- Submitting a final report summarizing the training process, participants’ engagement, and recommendations
- Work closely with the Coordinator, CBOs focal point, and head of protection to implement training sessions and follow up on initiatives.
- Report verbally and in writing on the progress.
- Ensure the implemented activities cover all the outputs.
- Ensure that child safeguarding standards are met in dealing with children.
- Any other tasks required to ensure all the objectives are met.
DELIVERABLES:
- Training agenda and materials.
- Pre/post evaluation results.
- Attendance sheets.
- Final training report.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Proven experience in training and facilitation within community engagement, protection, or psychosocial support fields.
- Strong knowledge of advocacy, safe referral, and community mobilization approaches.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Previous experience with NGOs or community-based projects is an asset.
- Good at initiating related activities.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Balqa and Zarqa.
- Excellent knowledge of Arabic and good English.
- Very good computer skills.
TIMING: The training will take place during November and December /2025.
Payment: The payment will be made after finishing the training and receiving the training report.
The cost for each training day is 150 JOD (each training course will be 9 days)
(9 days * 150 JOD). There will be 2 training courses with a total of 2700 JD.
