Psychosocial Senior Counselor

To provide ongoing Psychosocial Services’ requirements, including receiving clients at office, documentation, and giving clients the needed support and counselling.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development of work procedures and identify tools used in the job to ensure the proper functioning of the job duties
  • Conducts comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify clients’ (cases) needs and needed services.
  • Develops an intervention plan to achieve clients’ needs and service objectives.
  • Provides individual and group psychosocial support and counseling for clients (cases). To ensure providing ongoing Psychosocial Services.
  • Conducts home visits to cases, schools or other parties as may be required and in accordance with approved work procedures.
  • Reviews and evaluate the intervention process with each case, to makes necessary adjustments to the intervention plan as needed to ensure
  • Refers the case to individuals or entities concerned with providing services to them and follow up the case on the services referred to them in coordination with the relevant departments within the program.
  • Receiving calls on helpline 110 for families and children when needed to provide service according to the procedures.
  • Provides advice and technical and procedural support to newly appointed psychosocial counselors to ensure proper handover.
  • Documents all procedures of the case, follow up, documents all files, records, and reports related to the job and updates them to ensure maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of the information accessed.
  • Prepares monthly and annual reports related to the post and submit them to the direct manager to keep him updated.
  • Compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence to JRF policies
  • Carry out any tasks or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager within the scope of work to ensure the workflow.
  • Provides the required interventions within hotel accommodation or other suitable locations based on the beneficiaries’ place of residence.
  • Maintain flexible working hours based on the availability of the targeted beneficiaries.

 


Skills

  • BA degree in Psychology or Counselling.
  • Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken)
  • 5-7 years
  • Technical writing in both Arabic and English very well.
  • Ability to work under pressures and challenges of work.
  • Knowing computer programs.
  • Communication skills.
  • Accuracy and organization at work.
