Senior Advisor for Nursing Research
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Research and Evidence Based Practice, the Senior Advisor for Nursing Research provides support to the Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Unit in regard to the development, promotion, & dissemination of Nursing Research and EBP. Also, the Senior Advisor for Nursing Research will work in collaboration with Nurses, and Nurse Managers to identify researchable problems & provided the needed support in different stages of Nursing Research & EBP.
General Responsibilities:
- Provides expert support in the identification of novel research projects & EBP projects in the clinical areas.
- Helps in identifying the educational needs for nurses in regard to nursing research & draft a plan accordingly.
- Provide the nurses with the needed theoretical knowledge through courses/workshop that will facilitate nurses’ engagement in nursing research.
- Provide advice & Mentoring to the research team in different stages of nursing research studies such as proposal writing, research designs, data collection methods, etc.…
- Review the statistical results of the nursing research studies & give appropriate advice.
- Assists in submission application for research grants (Intramural & Extramural).
- Provide advice & guidance in regard to the publication process & review manuscripts before submission to the Nursing Journals.
- Communicate & facilitate dissemination strategies of projects, abstracts, & presentations of research studies in the national & international Conferences.
- Submit the required reports to the Nursing Administration.
- Promote the ethical conduct of Nursing Research at the nursing department.
- Asist in the development and review of nursing policies and procedures in related field.
- Encourage & coordinate research collaboration with academic institutions, and health care institutions.
Job Requirements:
- Holding a PhD degree in Nursing with academic rank of at least an Associate degree.
- Having an evidence of publication of Nursing Research in reputable Nursing Journals.
- Minimum 8 years in relevant job
- Computer proficiency (MS office, SPSS, Nvivo).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
