About the Role
This Agile Project Manager position is tailored for an experienced professional specializing in Agile methodologies within the IT services sector, serving clients across the EMEA region. The role operates at a mid-to-senior career level and is fully remote, requiring strong self-management and digital collaboration skills. The primary focus is on planning, coordinating, and delivering complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timely delivery, and adherence to budgetary constraints. Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timeline, and budget. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, promoting continuous improvement and team engagement. Coordinate cross-functional, distributed teams across various time zones in the EMEA region, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, roadmaps, risk registers, and status reports. Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring clear expectations, regular updates, and high levels of satisfaction. Oversee resource allocation, workload balancing, and capacity planning to optimize team performance and project outcomes. Utilize project management tools and dashboards to track progress, manage backlogs, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure compliance with organizational policies, data security standards, and relevant industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning within the project team.
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) managing IT projects in a remote or distributed environment, preferably within the EMEA region. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), including facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile best practices. Strong proficiency with digital project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and adapting to changing requirements. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones. Solid understanding of IT service delivery models, software development lifecycles, and cloud-based technologies. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying risks and implementing effective solutions. Experience in budget management, resource planning, and financial tracking for IT projects. Familiarity with remote work best practices, digital collaboration, and virtual team leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications are highly desirable). Formal Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) is strongly preferred. Additional training or certifications in remote project management or digital collaboration tools are advantageous.
