Job Description: Assistant Operations Manager 

Responsibilities

Bookings management and recording

  • Support in handling all bookings, modifications and cancellations according to the club’s policies and procedures
  • Provide support to the operations manager in the day to day running of the facility
  • Responsible for operating all bookings channels, including mobile phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, PA application and any other channel
  • Diligently record booking and players data in a timely and structured manner

Reception & players support

  • Maintain a presence at the reception, greeting incoming visitors and assisting them throughout the journey 
  • Proactively support players at the club, and assist them before, during and after gameplay

Tournament and classes preparation and support

  • After an agreement with management, lead on the preparation of tournaments per the agreed format 
  • Assist in the preparation of tournaments, reaching out to players, fulfilling tournament sign ups, and making sure the tournament runs as planned 
  • Support in organizing bookings with the coaches and setting up classes

Shop & Sales

  • Manage all sales in the shop during shift, while maintaining sufficient knowledge around the display merchandise 
  • Record sales in a timely and agreed manner per the provided sheets
  • Provide any helpful insights on customer behavior, such as information on items of high demand or certain price sensitivity issues

Facility management and supervision 

  • Treat this facility as your home, ensuring the facility is clean and neat at all times
  • Monitoring schedules and attendance of all service providers, including the cleaners, gardener, and maintenance teams
  • Ensure availability of toiletries and detergents, and notify Operations Manager when orders for procurement is needed 

Social Media Support

  • Support in creating content to be uploaded on Instagram on a daily basis
  • Liaise with the marketing team to add captions and provide the required videography and photography

Club & Sport Promotion

  • Be an advocate of the sport and the club inside and outside working hours

  • Treat players and visitors with utmost respect and provide the needed support

Qualifications

Professional Experience & skills

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in managing sports clubs and working directly with visitors and customers of sports facilities 
  • Ability to record information, maintain trackers and produce reports diligently and regularly
  • Excellent people and communication skills, preferably in English and Arabic
  • Ability to communicate issues and information upward to the Operations Manager
  • Maintain professional & friendly conduct while dealing with players and visitors 

Education 

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sports, Hospitality, Administration or any related fields

Language

  • Fluency in Arabic, good command of English
