King Hussein Cancer Center is seeking to hire the following vacancy:
Junior Planning Engineer
Job Requirements:
- Develops high-level project plans and budgets to ensure that projects are executed on time, within budget, and with expected quality. Planning to include design, construction, equipment and furniture procurement, commissioning, and operation.
- Reviews project plans submitted by design teams, contractors, etc. to make sure they fully align with KHCC plans and expectations.
- Monitors progress against the approved plans and budgets and raises alerts when risks are identified.
- Secures needed documentation (plans, documents, studies, permits, approvals, etc.) for external parties to facilitate their work.
- Coordinates with KHCC Maintenance Department to ensure full alignment and support on all projects.
- Collects needed requirements and feedback from business owners at KHCC during design, construction, testing and commissioning.
- Prepares, reviews and recommends approval of progress reports to KHCC management.
- Initiates and follows up on procurement procedures for goods and services that are procured by KHCC.
- Obtains necessary approval on design documents, plans, and other reports in accordance with approval matrixes adopted by KHCC.
- Maintains a proper system of documentation for incoming and outgoing documentation related to the project.
Education and Professional Experience (essential minimum requirement):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Architecture)
- PMP or similar project management certifications is required.
- MS in Construction Management or similar field is preferable
- 2 years of experience for a Master degree holders and 3 years of experience for a Bachelor degree holders in planning large projects.
- Fluent in English and Arabic language.
- AutoCAD drafting and reviewing skills and strong analytical skills
- Produces and reviews projects on MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms and Expertise
- Project management skills related to data and research-focused projects and review of project budgets, cash flows, etc.
