Job Title: Finance Assistant FSR  # 576

Location: Amman

Job Summary

We are looking for a strong, qualified candidate to join our finance department to support the finance officers in IMC Jordan, mainly for preparing vouchers, processing cash/Bank payment, in accordance with our policies and procedures, follow up with the monthly scanning with our HQ and any other duties will be assigned to them.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities 

  1. Prepares daily, weekly and monthly financial reports on a timely basis
  2. Conducts daily and weekly cash count and reconciliations
  3. Responsible of main office cash management
  4. Seek appropriate authorization and ensuring that all supporting documents are collected and attached to vouchers
  5. Support month closure in coordination with senior finance officer - Accounting
  6. Prepare payments related to international staff
  7. Preparation of the day-to-day checks and cash payments to vendors.
  8. Prepare reconciliations with hospitals and update the referral tracker daily.
  9. Check the accuracy of payment request done by the medical claims department and  process payments to hospitals after obtaining the necessary approvals.
  10. Assist the team during audit visits.
  11. Support in daily scanning and filing.
  12. Monitoring cash flow and ensuring proper cash management.
  13. Process payments to MOH Hospitals on a regular basis.
  14. Coordinate with field staff to open and clear cash advances regularly and timely.
  15. Enter Data into the accounting system regularly ensuring the accuracy of the entered data.
  16. Ensures that internal controls are established, reviewed, and maintained according to IMC and donor guidelines.
  17. Processing volunteers’ payments.
  18. Any other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • BA in Accounting or any related field.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, voluntary experience will be acceptable.
  • NGOs experience is preferred.
