Title : Business Development Specialist

Reports to : Business Development Director
Years of experience: 5-7
Purpose : To provide technical contribution to processes and activities related to organisational and portfolio development, partnership building and revenue growth across different organisational units and locations.
Responsibility :
Strategy
- Contribute to identifying and designing Business Development Strategy
- Identify innovative intervention areas and modalities to address existing development challenges
- Assess the landscape and stakeholder ecosystems relating to intervention areas in programme countries including key operating agencies, government departments, donor and public programmes as well as local actors
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships to support the development
- Support the Business Development Director in Identifying new market opportunities and developing market entry plans accordingly
Programme design and development
- Build on existing project portfolio, develop concept notes for specific interventions within the scope of current projects
- Design and draft new project documents based on identified development needs
- Draft and refining proposal documents and concept notes
- Develop the required partnerships locally and ensure the adherence of each of these partners to the requirements specified in the call documents
Research
- Identify and analyse key development challenges facing programme countries in intervention areas
- Research specific topics and themes relating to current or potential programmes
- Lead and support evaluation activities into programmes and projects
Other
- Developing informational materials related to the organisation and its programmes
- Represent the Organisation in events and activities as may be requested by the Director
- Any other relevant tasks required by the Business Development Director
