Entrepreneurship Program Officer
An official development initiative in Jordan is looking for a potential candidate to hire as Entrepreneurship Program Officer in Al Zarqa. The qualified candidates should have the following key responsibilities & requirements: -
Job Overview:
The Entrepreneurship Officer is responsible for the implementation of the entrepreneurship. activities on the local level. This individual will be responsible for organizing entrepreneurship awareness events, facilitating hackathons, coordinating with local stakeholders, and facilitating training programs related to innovation and entrepreneurship. The role requires a passionate individual with a strong understanding of the local entrepreneurship ecosystem and the ability to inspire and support emerging entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute entrepreneurship awareness events and activities tailored to the local context.
• Manage logistics, participant engagement, and content delivery to ensure successful events.
• Assist in organizing and running hackathons, including logistics, participant engagement, and follow-up activities.
• Support participants by providing resources, mentorship connections, and guidance throughout the event.
• Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including educational institutions, businesses, and community organizations, to support entrepreneurship initiatives.
• Assisting with a communications plan.
• Link all entrepreneurs to the appropriate funding sources to start viable enterprises.
• Act as a liaison between the local entrepreneurship community and the organization to facilitate collaboration and support.
• Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform improvements in future programs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, industrial engineering.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in entrepreneurship development, event management, youth development or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the local entrepreneurship ecosystem and the challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
• Passion for teaching and empowering young people as future business leaders.
• Experience in project management, event organization, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for event management and communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and motivation.
