Supply Chain Officer

This is to announce that Amman delegation has a vacancy for a Supply Chain Officer at the Logistics Support Center in Amman, Jordan.

  • Supply Chain Officer 1 carries out fulfilment activities in accordance with LSC service level agreements. S/he ensures that all customers’ needs are understood, met, delivered and well communicated.
  • Geographical remit: Regional &Global

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internally, mainly interacts with the Logistics Support Centres (LSC) and field staffs who use LSC services mainly warehouse, Purchase and Transport.

General Duties:

  • Be aware of the delegation’s objectives and activities.
  • Understand the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
  • Always apply the security rules
  • Respect and observe the staff regulations of the ICRC in Jordan.
  • The employee may be asked to perform other duties not covered in this job description as well to to provide support to other departments when and if necessary.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes and fulfils clients’ orders according to the ICRCs Logistics and financial procedures and pre-established fulfilment guidelines.
  • Ensures that the priorities set by the supply chain coordinator and head of customer service are followed.
  • Keeps requesters regularly informed of the progress of their requests.
  • Contributes to supply chain support for an assigned geographic area of specific group of products.
  • Ensures that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to his/her role as described in the Logistics Risk and control matrix.
  • Is aware and follows at any moment both the ICRC Logistics ERP system (JDE and IRIS) and ICRC Logistics standards Procedures.
  • Treat all messages / requests received in AMM LOG Services & Task Management Tool (STM) within 24 hrs. Upon completion, closes the tickets.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • University degree or technical degree with equivalent experience in Logistics, administration or equivalent
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic
  • Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems an asset (JDE, SAP, etc.)
  • Typically, three to five years over all professional experience.
  • Three years Previous experience in administration or within a supply chain or logistics department
  • Good knowledge of the supply chain processes.
