1. Monitor the product quality assurance and control processes/ control indicators, communicate with stores, cutting, and sample room on issues related to product quality in order to ensure prompt resolution of all quality issues, preventing recurrences thereby, delivering high-quality garments to the Customer
2. Follow-up on feedback whilst, communicating with end-line quality checkers and team leaders to resolve quality issues raised by them during the process in order to support/ take corrective/ preventive action thereby, facilitating smooth operations
3. Approve line samples in terms of quality by comparing same with the tech pack in order to proceed with bulk production
4. Check the 1 st 10 pieces after line-feeding for quality levels and conduct the 10-piece meeting, giving the consent to proceed, in the event of any deviations, addresses same whilst, taking measures to correct the needful immediately
5. Perform the following duties in order to ensure a continuous Quality Assurance process:
• Verify the accuracy of information pertaining to quality in the event of new styles and sign-off all samples in order to facilitate the production process
• Provide guidance to the quality checkers in order to assist them in carrying out their duties whilst, effectively addressing issues in a timely manner
• Assist in guiding/ training new recruits on the quality assurance process
6. Perform the following duties in order to ensure Customer quality requirements/ standards are met in an effective and timely manner:
• Participate at pre-production meetings and ensure all queries with regard to Customer specification/ technical issues are addressed prior to the production of samples whilst, communicating same to the team
• Conduct meetings for the team in order to explain quality points, critical points etc. and solve issues accordingly
• Check garments which are passed by quality checkers on a random basis to ensure Customer quality standards are met
• Monitor the end-line rework and AQL audit performances whilst, taking appropriate corrective/ preventive action within the stipulated time frames
• Ensure strict adherence to all established quality processes such as; rework card, 5 in 1 card and other procedures whilst, taking necessary action to improve same
• Ensure the timely and accurate capturing of relevant data/ information and report same
7. Ensure product safety precautions are taken whilst, maintaining standards and educating employees of same in order to satisfy Customer requirements which also includes the following:
• Understand Customer requirements based on safety
• Follow-up on factory requirements
8. Ensure adherence to organizational standards in areas such as MOS, SOPs, compliance standards, health and safety and 5S in all day-to-day activities whilst, assisting in relevant projects
9. Work with the ESH Committee and HSE consultant (Compliance Point Person) to improve safety and ergonomics performance of the workplace setting. Conduct frequent safety observation tours and periodical review of the department HS KPIs.
10. Ensure that the environment, safety and health standards of the organization are adhered to while actively contribute towards promoting a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within and outside the organization
11. Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following, group/company polices & procedures*, best practices (where the group/company policies and procedures are not defined), relevant laws & regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework.
12. Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
