Objectives :

The Cleaner at Amman office is responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the office and guest houses. This includes performing routine and deep cleaning tasks to ensure a healthy, clean environment and thorough cleaning of all areas within ACTED premises with delivering high-quality cleaning services by a focus on prompt and efficient response.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1.   Main Office:

§ Oversee the proper disposal of waste and ensure recycling initiatives are implemented wherever possible to minimize the environmental impact.

§ Keep a check on cleaning materials and notify supervisor of occurring deficiencies or needs.

§ Takes ownership of the planned deep cleaning to maintain high cleanliness standards.

§ The Cleaner is responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the office, this can entail dusting, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning smudges off windows and doors.

§ Cleaning office glass : clean windows (internal side), windows frames, glass partitions, and glass doors;.

§ Clean the exit fire stairs.

§ Ensure the daily collection of the office trash.

§ Distributing napkins to all offices and restrooms.

Disinfecting restrooms (twice daily).


2.   Kitchen:

§ Preparing coffee and tea for ACTED visitors upon request.

§ Assit in collection and washing dishes, spoons, and any kitchen utensils from offices and meeting rooms.

§ Dispose of food waste on daily basis in a safe and environment-friendly manner.

 

3.   Maintenance:

§ Reporting any maintenance issues in the office.

§ Periodically cleaning electrical appliances like the refrigerator and microwave.

4.   Storage Cleaning:

§ Clean and maintain desks in all rooms and kitchen cabinets.

§ Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cleaning supplies storage area.

§ Maintain an inventory of cleaning suppliesensuring sufficient stock levels at all times.

5.   Accommodation for International Employees:

§ Perform cleaning including sweeping and mopping floors in living rooms and hallways.

§ Clean and disinfect restrooms thoroughly.

§ Deep clean kitchen areas and floors including gas stove during each visit.

§ Clean and maintain appliances such as the microwave and refrigerator, and cabinets bi weekly.

§ Conduct weekly balcony cleaning.

§ Collect and dispose of trash.

§ Clean windows and doors on a monthly basis

 

6.   Other:

§ Prepare meeting rooms for events or visitors.

§ Collaborate and cooperate with other staff members.

§ Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

§ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

§ Undertake any other duties as assigned from time to time.

§ Conduct biweekly deep cleaning of all facilities according to an organized plan provided by the line manager.

Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least Secondary school.
  • Very good in Arabic (written and spoken) and it’s good if she had good skill in English.
  • Excellent in communication skills.
  • At least 2 years’ work experience with an INGO in an emergency and/or development setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-pace environment.

·        High skills in maintaining the confidentiality of information.

  • Portraying a genuine dedication and professional ethics towards every task.
  • An authentic individual, ready to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks without delay.
  • Awareness of time and cleanliness requirements.
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
  • Inform the management about additions or requirements for repairs and maintenance.
