The job is fully on remote basis. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer to create, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products and services. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with developers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop clear and concise content that is easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Roles and responsibilities:
Documentation Creation and Maintenance:
- Write and update company profiles, company websites, success case studies, company manuals, marketing material, and any other marketing content.
Research and Information Gathering:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to gather detailed information.
- Learn about products, services, and systems to accurately document them.
- Meet General Managers from companies within MOSECO to hear success stories and be able to document them well in writing, using pictures for the case studies
Writing and Editing:
- Produce clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Edit and proofread documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Format documents according to company standards and style guides.
Content Management:
- Maintain version control of documents to track changes and updates.
- Organize content in a logical structure that is easy to navigate.
Technical Illustrations and Visuals:
- Develop diagrams, charts, and other visuals to support written content.
- Capture and integrate screenshots and other images into documentation.
Quality Assurance:
- Review documentation for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct usability testing to ensure documentation meets user needs.
Localization and Translation:
- Adapt documentation for different languages and regions as needed. While using AI or other tools to accurately translate the generated professional pieces of wiring.
- Work with translators and localization teams to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Outsource and collaborate with local writers from different countries to audit translated writing and produce locally fit content.
Tools and Technologies:
- Use authoring tools like Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, MS Word, or Markdown.
- Work with Content Management Systems (CMS) to manage and publish documentation.
- Utilize version control systems like Git to manage document versions.
Project Management:
- Plan and manage documentation projects, including timelines and deliverables.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide project updates.
Continuous Improvement:
- Gather and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to improve documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical writing for the related topic (by researching how others have done it as well)
- Continuously improve documentation processes and tools for efficiency and quality.
Skills
- Must have an official English literature qualification such as EILTS (score over 7).
- Fluent in Arabic Language ( Writing, Reading & Speaking) is an advantage
- Must have experience in professional & educational writing.
- It is best if the writer is a graduate of a British university.
- Must have 3-5 years' experience in writing.
- Must have visual creative ability, being able to portray imaging and data diagramming in a creative, organized artistic manner.
- Must have a project management certification from any reliable certifier, if not, the company will offer them the chance to apply for a project management certification while covering 50% of the cost.
- The technical writing specialist is preferred to have basic knowledge on producing data diagrams on excel.
