Barista
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hospitality, reception and serving hot and cold drinks.
- Min 2 years of experience in same field.
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages consistently according to recipes.
- Keep work areas, equipment, and utensils clean.
- Interact with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately.
- Manage the inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrup, etc.
- Safely operate espresso machines and other brewing equipment.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently.
- Work under pressure.
Chef
Responsibilities:
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales.
- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.
- Cook food in a timely manner.
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff.
- Inform wait staff about daily specials.
- Ensure appealing plate presentation.
- Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy).
- Monitor food stock and place orders.
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
- Diploma degree or a recognized certificate from colleges or institutes of tourism and hotels, prefer (Royal Academy of Culinary Arts or Luminous technical university collage).
- Obtaining in training courses in the field of cooking, hospitality and kitchen management.
- Obtaining a certificate to practice the cooking profession.
- Obtaining training courses related to food health and safety and how to adhere to hygiene standards to maintain food quality.
- Developing language skills through language courses, as the chef may need to deal with customers who speak languages different from his language, as well as with co-workers.
- Practical experience in the kitchen with min 2 years.
- Work under pressure.
Pastry Chef
Responsibilities:
- Diploma degree or a recognized certificate from colleges or institutes of tourism and hotels, prefer (Royal Academy of Culinary Arts or Luminous technical university collage).
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
- Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
- Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
- Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
- Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel.
- Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Min 2 years of practical experience as Pastry Chef, baker or relevant role.
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition.
- Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.).
