About Sawt Advocacy Partners Program

Sawt Advocacy Partners Program targets CSOs and encompasses capacity building, technical assistance, and financial support with objective of bringing about measurable improvements in the performance and capacity of CSOs to serve their constituencies, build sustainable networks, and lead impactful advocacy and citizen engagement efforts.

Summary

Internews is seeking a qualified organization to create an advocacy workbook in both printable and digitized formats for the use of Sawt Advocacy Partners as well as other organizations implementing or planning to implement advocacy interventions. The contracted organization will be instrumental in providing partner organizations with an easy-to-use advocacy workbook with step-by-step instruction on how to plan, monitor, and evaluate their advocacy interventions.

Objectives

The contracted organization will be responsible for developing a printable and digitized advocacy workbook.

  1. Develop advocacy content in printable workbook format:
  1. Review Sawt advocacy trainings content and develop a printable workbook friendly transcript based on the training content with matching topics and modules.  The content of the training courses should be modified, edited, and rewritten as needed to match the printable workbook requirements. Any content, case studies, adapted tools used in the preparation of the workbooks should be cited and appropriate reference and reference citation used.
  2. Coordinate with Sawt’s legal consultant to integrate legal guide in the advocacy workbook.
  3. Develop activities, worksheets, and templates to complement concepts presented in the workbook and support organizations in organizing their planning, implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation process. The activities should include case studies from Jordan and the region where contextually relevant and appropriate.
  4. During all phases integrate Sawt’s and donor’s edits and changes.
  5. Design the printable advocacy workbook.
  6. Develop advocacy content in digitized workbook format:
  7. Review Sawt advocacy trainings content and develop a digitized workbook friendly transcript based on the training content with matching topics and modules. Any content, case studies, adapted tools used in the preparation of the workbooks should be cited and appropriate reference and reference citation used.
  8. Coordinate with Sawt’s legal consultant to integrate legal guide in the advocacy workbook.
  9. Develop interactive activities, worksheets, and templates to complement concepts presented in the workbook and support organizations in organizing their planning, implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation process
  10. Create and integrate explanatory videos and/or sound clips to support concepts presented in the workbook. The videos should feature advocacy actors as well as experts from the Jordanian landscape.  
  11. Provide the digitized advocacy workbook in designed and user-friendly format compatible to various digital platforms.
  12. During all phases integrate Sawt’s and donor’s edits and changes.
  13. Support the integration of the workbook on Sawt’s marketplace.

Scope of Work

The contracted organization’s scope of work includes the development of a user-friendly interactive advocacy workbook in a printable and digitized version in Arabic. The workbook should guide the user through a step-by-step approach on how to plan, implement, as well as monitor and evaluate advocacy interventions. The workbook should feature case studies and examples from advocacy actors and interventions in Jordan and the example should aim to cover a range of topics and thematic areas.

The contracted organization will be required to review Sawt’s advocacy trainings content and create two transcripts that can be used for a printable as well as a digitized version of the workbook. The organization is required to make modifications, add activities, and create templates among other needed changes to arrive at the two transcripts. The developed templates, transcripts, and materials in general require review approval and by Sawt and the donor before finalization. The digitized version of the transcript should also include videos and sound clips explaining concepts and guiding users on how to implement the concepts to their own advocacy interventions. The workbook should be provided in an interactive printable as well as a digitized format and should be developed in accordance to accessibility and inclusion best practices.

Deliverables

  1. A detailed plan and timeline for the implementation of the proposed scope of work and below mentioned deliverables.
  2. A printable workbook transcript based on Sawt’s trainings content and legal guide. Transcript should also include activities, case studies and templates explaining and putting the advocacy concepts into practice.
  3. A digitized workbook transcript based on Sawt’s trainings content and legal guide. Transcript should also include activities, case studies and templates explaining and putting the advocacy concepts into practice. Moreover, video and sound clips scripts should also be provided along with the transcript.
  4. A designed printable interactive advocacy workbook based on Sawt’s advocacy training and legal guide.
  5. A digitized and designed interactive advocacy workbook based on Sawt’s advocacy training and legal guide. The workbook’s integration on Sawt’s marketplace and Internews website will be part of the service providers scope of work.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The organization must be legally registered and has permission to operate in Jordan.
  • The organization must have proven experience of producing interactive and digital educational content and resources in Arabic.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in High Quality Interactive Content Development: demonstrated understanding and knowledge of interactive content development in both digital and printable formats. Experience in developing content relevant to civil society organizations and advocacy is a plus and collaborations among organizations with complementing expertise in digitization, content development, and advocacy are encouraged.  
  • Experience in Multimedia Content Development: demonstrated experience in developing video and audio content with high quality in Arabic for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Networking Abilities: Capacity to build relationships with diverse stakeholders needed to complete the scope of the ToR.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and engage partners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Coordination and management skills: strong skill in managing similar projects and coordinating multiple forms and sources of input to the project.
