A Non-Governmental Organization is seeking to fill the Following Vacancies:
Director of Childhood Affairs
Required Educational Level:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Educational Sciences, Social Sciences, or Public Policy.
- Master’s degree in areas related to childhood development or policy management is preferred.
Required Work Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in relevant fields, with at least 5 years in leadership roles involving policy development, strategy formulation, or managing related projects.
Contract Duration: Annual fixed-term contract.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strategic Planning and Policy Management:
Proven experience in developing and evaluating early childhood policies and relevant national strategies.
Ability to align national priorities with global trends.
Project Management and Coordination:
- Supervising project implementation to ensure outputs align with national plans.
- Networking and coordinating with local and international partners.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English, with advanced skills in writing reports and delivering presentations.
Leadership and Administrative Skills: Experience in leading teams and managing change.
Ability to train subordinates and assess their performance.
Negotiation and Communication Skills:
Advanced negotiation skills with donors and partners.
Strong relationship-building skills with external entities.
Technological Proficiency:
Proficiency in IT tools, project management software, and digital platforms.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of global trends in childhood and their connection to local policies.
- Familiarity with scientific research methodologies for strategy development.
- Understanding of national and international child rights laws.
- Adequate skills in budget preparation and financial evaluation of projects.

- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Decision-making based on scientific data.
- High commitment to professional values and ethics.
Additional Notes:
- Experience representing organizations at regional and international conferences on childhood affairs is preferred.
- Ability to prepare periodic performance and progress reports for projects.
