Strategic Duties

  • Follow-up on the performance of the project and the set projects and requirements Key Performance Indicators. 



Technical Duties

  • Assisting the project manager in the supervision and management of construction activities for assigned projects. 
  • Assisting in the planning and sequencing of the construction operations according to the Project Quality/Plan. 
  • Regular inspections are conducted, and all subcontractors' work performance is assessed. 
  • Evaluating and resolving any discrepancies and problems arising during construction, which affect the quality of works performed. 
  • Coordinating the handing-over of completed works and completion of the necessary rectification works. 
  • Providing Technical Support to other site team members/subcontractors. 
  • Advising the Project Manager of any needs or discrepancies that may arise during construction. 
  • Organizing work plan and coordinating with Project Manager for workforce prior to their construction day on site. 
  • Comply with the highest level of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards during all stages of project execution and be proactive with safety groups and subcontractors to promote safe and hazardous-free work within the designated area.
  • Liaising with QHSE to ensure QHSE's functional and complete functioning within all activities/projects. 
  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the assigned engineering project. 
  • Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. 
  • Assigning responsibilities and mentoring the project team. 
  • Report to, cooperate, and communicate effectively with/to the project manager and the other project participants and provide assistance and technical support. 
  • Reviewing engineering deliverables and initiating appropriate corrective actions. 
  • Conducting daily briefings with the site team to follow up and report on the work progress in order to anticipate any possible delays with regard to planned tasks/plans. 
  • Taking immediate corrective action to avoid any cumulative effect of such deviation and recover the delay to finish the task in due time. 
  • Assisting the project manager in the supervision and management of construction activities for assigned projects. 
  • Issue shop drawings where needed and submit them to PMs for approval.




General Administrative Duties

  • Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates/subcontractors to review progress and work plans, discuss their suggestions, and take suitable actions accordingly. 
  • Preparing periodic reports with respect to the activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor for review. 
  • Identifying the training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of the training courses in coordination with the concerned HR staff. 
  • Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices at TAJ ALSAFA. 
  • Specifying manpower requirements according to the recruitment and selection system and as per the human resources planning practices at TAJ ALSAFA. 
  • Following up on employee affairs, including vacations, leaves …etc. 
  • Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor. 



Communication

  • Coordination with all concerned entities regarding the technical, administrative, and logistical requirements of the assigned project. 
  • Coordination with QHSE regarding QHSE issues, onsite inspections, and project conformity to quality specifications and standards. 
  • Communication with subcontractors regarding the progress of the assigned project.

Qualifications / Certificates 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
