The GIZ Regional Project "Digital Trade in the South Mediterranean Region​” is seeking to hire an “Economic Cooperation and Private Sector Development Advisor Focus: E-Commerce and Digital Trade” for full-time base employment.

Qualifications and Specialist Knowledge

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Law, Information Technology, or equivalent degree.      
• At least 5 years relevant experience
• Sound know-how of international trade policies, agreements and rules governing e-commerce and digital trade. In-depth knowledge of the framework conditions in Jordan shaping the country’s digital trade readiness.      
• Implementation experience of activities in the area of digital trade and e-commerce: strategies and regulatory approaches for e-commerce; technical tools and solutions enabling e-commerce and digital trade (e-signature, e-payments, e-commerce platforms).      
• Strong analytical skills and structured working style. Moreover, a solution- and results-oriented work approach.      
• Willingness to travel occasionally on missions to other countries in the region and to Germany.      
• Fluency in English as program language is required.
