The British Council in Jordan is inviting applications for the role of Operations and Account Relations Officer, based in Amman.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of British Council examinations across the country, maintaining the highest standards of client service, and supporting the future growth of the examinations business. The officer will be responsible for managing the full cycle of test administration, from registration and logistics to venue management and certification, while safeguarding compliance with examining board regulations and British Council policies. The role also involves acting as the main point of contact for assigned schools and clients, building strong relationships, handling enquiries, resolving operational issues, and ensuring a positive customer journey throughout the exams process.
As part of a team of 15 staff members, the officer will contribute to seamless coordination and execution of exams, supervise venue staff, and ensure risk management and compliance standards are met. The role requires maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, supporting financial analysis, and continuously seeking ways to enhance service delivery. Candidates must hold a university degree or equivalent experience, have at least three years in operations management, demonstrate excellent English proficiency (minimum B2 level) and Arabic fluency, and possess strong communication, analytical, and relationship management skills. Adaptability, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative mindset are essential, while knowledge of British education and examination systems is desirable.
