The Trainer for Advanced Automotive Mechatronics & E-Mobility is a specialized technical instructor responsible for preparing students for the evolving automotive industry. The trainer will provide advanced instruction on the complex integration of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in modern vehicles. This role is critical for equipping students with the skills to diagnose, maintain, and repair both traditional mechatronic systems and the high-voltage components of electric and hybrid vehicles, a key area of growth for the Jordanian automotive sector.

The trainer's role extends beyond the classroom and workshop to actively contribute to the sustainability of the institution by participating in income-generating activities (IGAs). This may include, but is not limited to, delivering upskilling courses for industry professionals, conducting technical consultancies, and supporting activities within Business Incubator. This dual responsibility underscores the trainer's importance not only in education but also in ensuring long-term financial health and relevance to the private sector.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Deliver the comprehensive Advanced Automotive Mechatronics & E-Mobility curriculum, utilizing the provided Teaching, Training and Learning Materials (TTLM) and the institution's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Program Review: Actively participate in the review of the program's DACUM, Occupational Standards, and Framework Curriculum, providing expert feedback to help maintain and improve their quality and alignment with the latest industry technologies.
  • Practical Workshop Instruction: Supervise and instruct students on the use of diagnostic tools, specialized equipment, and service procedures for automotive mechatronic systems (e.g., Engine Management Systems, ABS, and infotainment).
  • E-Mobility Systems Training: Provide hands-on training on the inspection, testing, and repair of electric vehicle (EV) components, including high-voltage batteries, electric motors, and charging systems.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols for working with high-voltage systems and hazardous materials. Ensure all training activities comply with manufacturer guidelines and industry safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Teach advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve complex, intermittent faults across multiple vehicle systems, including those related to electric powertrains.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with new automotive technologies, particularly in the fields of autonomous driving, connected vehicles, and battery technology, to continuously enrich the training program.
  • Contribution to Institutional Sustainability: Participate in and lead income-generating activities (IGAs). This may include, but is not limited to, providing upskilling courses for the private sector, conducting technical consultancies, supporting and engaging in applied research, and mentoring entrepreneurs and businesses associated with the Business Incubator.
