The Job in a Nutshell???? The Global Logistics Officer is responsible for managing end-to-end shipping, freight coordination, and customs clearance activities across multiple countries, including Saudi Arabia (KSA), UAE, Jordan, Kuwait and Egypt.
The role ensures timely delivery of shipments, compliance with local customs regulations, cost optimization through competitive freight quotations, and accurate preparation of all shipping and customs documentation, the candidate will be located in Jordan office and he might be travelling across those countries as per business need What Will You Do❓ · Freight & Shipping Coordination: - Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate freight quotations (air, sea, and land) from shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
- Select cost-effective and reliable shipping solutions based on delivery timelines and business requirements.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including cross-border and transit shipments (TIR).
- Track shipment status, manage delays, and resolve logistics issues proactively.
Customs Clearance & Compliance: - Manage customs clearance processes in KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt in compliance with local regulations.
- Prepare and submit all required customs documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, HS codes, and shipping documents.
- Ensure compliance with country-specific requirements such as SABER, SASO, SFDA (KSA), and TIR regulations.
- Liaise with customs brokers, ports, and government authorities to ensure smooth clearance.
Documentation & Reporting: - Maintain accurate shipment, customs, and freight cost records.
- Prepare logistics and clearance reports for management.
- Ensure proper archiving of all documents for audit and compliance purposes.
Stakeholder Coordination: - Coordinate with internal departments such as procurement, finance, warehouse, and sales.
- Act as the main point of contact with freight forwarders and customs agents.
- Support finance teams with customs duty and VAT reconciliation.
What Are We Looking For❓ Strong knowledge of customs procedures in KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt.
Experience with SABER, and TIR processes.
Understanding of Incoterms.
3–5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or customs clearance.
Skills & Competencies Strong communication and coordination skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
