Job Title: Construction Manager
Job Summary:
The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from start to completion. The role ensures that projects are delivered according to the approved project’s plan and on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage construction activities remotely across multiple different types of projects in multiple countries
- Provide remote oversight of site operations and coordinate with local site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and local regulations and based on the previously approved plan.
- Monitor project schedules, progress, costs, and cash flow to ensure adherence to approved programs and budgets
- Enforce and monitor implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all project sites
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, clients, and local authorities to resolve technical, contractual, and site-related issues
- Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation remotely
- Optimize deployment of site resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, in coordination with local teams
- Review progress reports, conduct remote coordination meetings, and participate in key project reviews
- Identify project risks, delays, and performance gaps, and define corrective and preventive actions
- Support local site management teams and provide technical guidance to ensure consistent delivery standards
- Report to senior management on overall project performance across all countries
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- At least 15 years of overall experience with +10 years of experience in construction management
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects
- Excellent skills in managing construction contracts with different types and under different regulations and guidelines including managing FIDIC contracts of different types.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use and operation of MS Office and Planning Software (such as Primavera and MS project Management).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and project controls
- Professional skills in reading, writing and speaking English Language in an asset.
- High level of skills in writing of technical reports in Arabic and English languages is an asset.
- Good experience in the analysis and review of the technical reports and the engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of safety regulations and quality standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Experience in mega international projects
- Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities
- Experience in working with multinational teams is highly recommended.
