This is to announce that Amman delegation has a vacancy for a Security and Safety Officer at the Management Department in Amman, Jordan.

The Safety and Security Officer 3 reports directly to the Head of Operations and is responsible for the overall security and risk management of the Delegation. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring timely responses to security incidents; conducting periodic and ad hoc risk assessments; implementing mitigation measures to safeguard staff, premises, and operations; maintaining an active network with relevant stakeholders; supporting departments in the security management of their activities and operations; and managing and regularly updating institutional security tools (e.g. SMIP, SAFE platform, MSR). Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Safety and Security Officer actively manages security operations for the Delegation in Jordan. The S&S Officer also plays a key support role in cross-border activities, including supporting surrounding delegations during periods of regional escalation, overseeing staff movements and rotations to high-risk contexts (including Gaza), and contributing to the adaptation of security protocols as required. Remit: Ensures the delivery of high-quality security and safety services for the Delegation country-wide, proactively managing and implementing security measures to protect staff, premises, assets, and operations.
