Médecins Sans Frontières is running a reconstructive surgery program in Amman, which opened in 2006, is giving access to reconstructive surgery (orthopedic, plastic, and maxillo-facial) to war-wounded people providing comprehensive health care, MSF aims at identifying and referring patients from neighboring countries (Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and other countries with conflicts) then ensuring their medical follow-up after discharge.

Médecins Sans Frontières Reconstructive Surgery program in Amman and is seeking recruitment for (1) Part Time Staff Health Medical Doctor, on 50% Activity Rate.

THE JOB

Follow up outpatient and/or inpatient medical care for RSP employees according to adapted and updated staff health policy medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values, and universal hygiene standards to improve the MSF employees' health conditions.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows staff health for all national staff of RSH and of the Country Office (and when appropriate of their dependents).
  • Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, apply medical knowledge and skills to assure the update and follow up of the correct implementation of the MSF RSP Staff Health Policy.
  • Ensure the RSH and Country office staff is informed about the staff health policy and communicates the clear procedures to follow.
  • Establish good communication channels with the MSF-OCP medical insurance provider and its health network, in order to manage and validate the staff’s sick leave requests in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Ensures, with the medical insurance provider and especially the approval department, obtain a comprehensive understanding of the possible rejection of coverage for medical procedures or medications, for the employee and its dependents.
  • Ensures good coordination between the sick staff’s department manager/supervisor and the HR department to update and process the validated sick leaves.
  • Closely follow up on the long-term sick leaves, chronic diseases and any work-related illness or work accident, coordinates with the HR department and the Social Security services when necessary.
  • Proactively collaborates with all departments to ensure a safe working environment for the staff in RSH and in the Country Office.
  • Collects and analyses staff medical data; ensures the confidentiality of such data.
  • Perform direct consultations only in case of emergency

PROFILE

  • A recognized medical doctor diploma/degree is required
  • An MOH license to work in Jordan is required
  • Registration with the Jordan Medical Association is required
  • Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic is required
  • 5-year experience as a Medical Doctor (can be within medical training).
  • Desirable experience in dealing with medical insurance

WORK LOCATION:                Amman, at Al Mowasah hospital/ Northern Marka and Country Office in Shmeisani

CONTRACT:                            Part-time Contract on 50% Activity Rate, duration for (6) months renewable

PROBABLE START DATE:     May/Jun 2026
