The Cloud Hosting Services Systems Engineer is a professional who supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT systems. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic IT environment. This role provides a foundation to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in the field of systems engineering under the mentorship of more experienced professionals.

Availability: Assist in maintaining the availability of services and disaster preparedness within service level commitments by proactively maintaining, monitoring, implementing and enhancing a secure, effective, optimal, fault-tolerant and disaster-resilient systems infrastructure that supports business continuity and reliability.

Incident Management: Ensure incident and problem resolutions within target performance metrics. Troubleshoot problems and recommends procurement of and/or modifications to network, system and security components or configurations.

Technical Support: Provide 1st level technical support on Cloud Infrastructure products and services and provide resolutions for problems within target performance metrics. Collaborate with senior engineers to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to systems, networks, and infrastructure components.

Problem Management: Assist in the investigation, identification of root cause and resolution of problems or technical issues escalated by the customer or other stakeholders; identify, apply and document solutions for errors and irregularities in network, systems and security according to documented policies and procedures.

Major Incident: Report and respond to major incidents and other emergency scenarios as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns, and implements the service restoration on available resilient and disaster recovery solutions.

Policies and procedures: Ensure compliance on guidelines, objectives and security policies to maintain an effective, secure and optimized management of Systems Infrastructure.

Project Management: Implement solutions and changes on customer-related services requirements to maintain these services within acceptable performance level. Implement system-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Infrastructure Management: Install, implement, and maintain the systems infrastructure to optimize availability and performance within with service level commitments.

Change Management: Implement change requests and test changes according to the plan, and that any issues are identified and resolved, and that they align with business objectives.

Monitoring and Reporting: Proactively monitor and report the systems resource performance, potential bottlenecks or errors.

Automation: Support the development and implementation of automation solutions to streamline routine tasks.

Capacity Management: Ensure the operational scalability, reliability and security of the systems infrastructure; maintain a systems infrastructure that provides secure, efficient and optimal environment performance to meet business and security needs. Assist in assessing and planning for system capacity requirements based on guidance from senior engineers. Monitor resource capacity to support the delivery of services within acceptable performance targets, communicating with Cloud Hosting Services teams about balancing capacity and demand, and optimizing capacity.

Patch Management: Communicate, test, distribute and install system and security updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure operational and security compliance.

Backup And Archiving Management: Assist in maintaining an updated inventory of assets and software licenses.

Asset Inventory: Collaborate with other team members and departments for an effective and optimal delivery of solution in the implementation of projects, tasks, and operations. Participates in planning and development activities, including company activities to create short- and long-term plans.

Planning and Collaboration: Ensure that setup and maintenance of systems infrastructure comply with applicable industry standards and regulations, and with other internal/external audit requirements.
