Job Objective

To plan, implement, and develop training programs in the field of HVAC systems based on competency-based training (CBT) methodologies, in line with current and future labor market needs. The HVAC Trainer will be responsible for preparing and training trainees on the installation, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This includes theoretical knowledge and practical application to ensure the trainees' competency and adherence to safety, quality, and modern industry standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Curriculum and Training Program Development: Develop study plans and training materials (theoretical and practical) covering various aspects of HVAC systems (residential and commercial).
  • Theoretical and Practical Training Delivery: Plan and conduct theoretical and practical training sessions using effective training methods, ensuring trainees acquire the knowledge and skills according to the training program outcomes..
  • Workshop Management: Maintain the readiness of workshops, equipment, and training tools, ensuring their safe and optimal use.
  • Troubleshooting: Train participants on using modern measurement and testing devices to detect and troubleshoot faults efficiently.
  • Occupational Safety and Health: Instill a culture of safety during work and train the team on using personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely handling refrigerants and electricity.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct theoretical and practical assessments to evaluate trainees' competency and provide feedback to ensure their development.
  • Technology Development Monitoring: Regularly update curricula to include modern technologies such as smart systems, inverter technologies, and building management systems (BMS).
  • Strengthening Partnerships with the Private Sector: Contribute to building relationships with private sector institutions to support practical training, field visits, employment opportunities, and updating training programs in line with labor market needs.



Skills

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of field experience in the maintenance and installation of HVAC systems, along with prior experience in training or supervision.
  • Certifications: Preferred to hold relevant professional or training certifications, or certifications in occupational safety and health and handling refrigerants.
