Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Operations Specialist to manage the day-to-day HR functions that keep our organization running smoothly. This role is critical in supporting employee lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance with regional labor laws, and maintaining efficient HR systems all while supporting a fast-paced, people-focused L&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, contracts, transfers, and offboarding
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS
  • Prepare HR letters, certificates, and documentation (employment verification, NOCs, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with MENA labor laws and regulations across operating countries

Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs (attendance, leaves, deductions) with Finance
  • Administer employee benefits, insurance, and government-related registrations (GOSI, WPS, etc. as applicable)
  • Track and manage leave balances and attendance records

Recruitment & Onboarding Coordination

  • Support the recruitment process: job postings, screening coordination, interview scheduling
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding experiences for new hires, including orientation on company policies and L&D culture
  • Coordinate with hiring managers on workforce planning needs

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies and procedures
  • Support performance management cycles and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and local employment regulations
  • Assist in maintaining a positive, engaging workplace culture aligned with SkillUp MENA's values


Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Generate HR reports and dashboards (headcount, turnover, attendance trends)
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Support internal audits and documentation readiness
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2 4 years of experience in HR operations, preferably within MENA region companies
  • Solid understanding of regional labor laws (UAE, KSA, Egypt, Jordan, or relevant markets)
  • Experience with HRIS/HRMS platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong plus
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Passion for learning & development and the education/training industry is a plus
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and WPS/GOSI processes
  • Experience supporting a growing or scaling organization
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and HR reporting tools
  • HR Diploma | Certificate
