Arab Model Schools is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our International Program team and teach Mathematics in ENGLISH to students in Grades 7–8.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, challenging, and student-centered Mathematics lessons in English. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of middle school Mathematics and the ability to develop students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and application skills.

Experience teaching within an international curriculum, particularly the British/Cambridge or American curriculum, is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for Grades 7–8 in ENGLISH.
• Develop students' mathematical understanding, reasoning, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Teach mathematical concepts through a variety of instructional strategies and real-world applications.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and learning resources aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs and abilities of individual students.
• Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback to students.
• Maintain a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage students to develop confidence and a positive attitude toward Mathematics.
• Integrate educational technology and digital resources into Mathematics instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and academic progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues and academic coordinators on curriculum planning and student support.
• Participate in school events, meetings, professional development, and other school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching Mathematics at the middle school level is required/preferred.
• Experience teaching Grades 7–9 is highly preferred.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Experience teaching within an international curriculum is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of British/Cambridge or American Mathematics curricula is an advantage.

• Experience using educational technology to enhance Mathematics learning.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace for Education, including Google Classroom, Docs, Slides, and Sheets.
• Experience using interactive boards and digital Mathematics resources is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
