Carpenter

About the Role:

In this hands-on role, you will help keep our resort looking its best by maintaining and repairing furniture, fixtures, and wooden structures throughout the property. Your responsibilities will include:

• Repairing and maintaining doors, frames, cabinets, furniture, and other wooden fittings.
• Carrying out carpentry installations and adjustments according to approved specifications.
• Inspecting wooden fixtures and identifying maintenance needs.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests in guest rooms and public and colleague areas.
• Using tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently.
• Coordinating with the Engineering team to complete preventive maintenance and assigned projects.
• Keeping work areas clean and minimizing disruption to guests and hotel operations.

About You:

• Minimum 1–2 years of practical carpentry experience, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
• A vocational qualification or trade training in carpentry is preferred.
• Good knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, fittings, and repair methods.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and follow drawings and instructions.
• Confidence in using hand and power tools safely.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Basic English communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the team.
• Flexibility to work shifts and respond to operational maintenance needs.
