Job Description – Ironer (Laundry Department)
Accor – Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba

Position Summary:

The Ironer is responsible for ironing, pressing, and finishing all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry items according to the hotel's quality standards, ensuring that all items are clean, properly pressed, and presented in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate ironing and pressing machines safely and efficiently.

  
  

• Iron and press hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry according to established standards.

  
  

• Ensure all items are free from wrinkles, stains, and damages before delivery.

  
  

• Sort laundry items according to type, fabric, and priority.

  
  

• Inspect finished items to ensure proper quality and presentation.

  
  

• Report damaged, stained, or missing items to the Laundry Supervisor.

  
  

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ironing area and equipment.

  
  

• Follow all safety, hygiene, and chemical-handling procedures.

  
  

• Handle hotel linen and guest laundry with care to prevent damage or loss.

  
  

• Coordinate with other Laundry team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

  
  

• Follow Accor brand standards and hotel policies at all times.

  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a laundry or ironing position is preferred.

  
  

• Knowledge of ironing and pressing equipment is an advantage.

  
  

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

  
  

• Good attention to detail.

  
  

• Team player with a positive attitude.

  
  

• Commitment to quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
